During this last lap of 2023, I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the new eCALD® Programme Manager for the national cultural and linguistically diverse (CALD) training service. My name is Choi. I am honoured to take over the baton from the founder and former National Programme Director, Sue Lim. It is no doubt a giant shoe that I am in now. However, I will do my best to continue the legacy my predecessor left behind. I am excited about my new role of connecting with like-minded people in building the capability and capacity for the health sector to advocate for ethnic minorities. We will work together to close the equity gaps in health care.
I am pleased to announce that Ms Dulani Abeysinghe will join us as eCALD® Educator, Co-Design and Engagement Lead on 15th January 2024. She will be an asset to our team and help expand the work to build up the capability of the health workforce.
Our team at eCALD® Services aims to continue supporting learners in gaining confidence and building knowledge with practical skills to provide culturally appropriate services. We look forward to extending our services and collaborating with like-minded organisations and people to meet the needs of ethnic minorities, especially the CALD people from Asian, Middle Eastern, Latin American, and African backgrounds. Watch this space in 2024.
Warmest wishes for a Joyous Festive Seasons & a Blessed New Year!
